Who should attend?

Each jail should plan to send a team of 3 made up of people in positions such as those listed below. While there can be some flexibility in the team composition, the key is to send a team knowledgeable of your restrictive housing policies, practices, and population and that has influence over policy change in your department.

1. Facility Leadership - Director of Corrections, Chief Deputy, Jail Administrator,  Jail Commander, Sheriff, Under Sheriff
2. Chief of Programs/Security – Chief of Programs, Chief of Security, Classification Administrator
3. Mental Health Director or Supervisor

For further details regarding registration: Please contact GLENN WATSON if you have questions about the makeup of your 3-person team or about registering for the training, please contact NIC’s Glenn Watson at g2watson@bop.gov.
